Hun
Tun - Wonton
Ingredients:
· 1 tablespoon lite soy sauce
· 2 tablespoon sesame oil
· 1 tablespoon chopped ginger roots
· Half pound of ground pork
· 1 pack of Hun Tun (Wonton) wrap
Sauce:
· 1 tablespoon lite soy sauce
· 3 tablespoon sesame oil
· 2 tablespoon green onion
· 1 tablespoon Chinese vinegar
· 1 tablespoon minced garlic (optional)
Instruction:
· Put all the ingredients together, except Hun Tun wrap, mix well (by
hand) to make the filling
· Put small teaspoon of filling in the middle of Hun Tun wrap, fold it
once in the middle and press hard, then fold both ends together. (Dip your finger
in the water and wet the edge in order to make it stick)
· Boil 4 cups of water, put 30-35 Hun Tuns into water after the water
boils, cook for 5 min.
· Take them out and drain water
· Mix sauce ingredients except sesame oil, and heat up sesame oil until
smoke comes out
· Pour oil into the mixed sauce ingredients
Pour sauce on
Hun Tun and serve.
Hun
Tun Soup - Wonton Soup

Soup:
. 2
cups of chicken broth
. 1 bag of Enoki Mushrooms (opinion)
. 3-4 small Shanghai Bok-Choy
Instruction:
Follow Hun Tun instruction above, boil 30 Hun Tuns.
Boil 2 cups of chicken broth in the pot. When it boils put Bok-Choy and Enoki
mushrooms in and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Pour soup into cooked Hun Tun, add black pepper.
Serve for 2 or 3 depending on how hungry you are.

Fried Lotus Roots - Hunan Style
 
Ingredients:
. 1 lb of lotus roots (you should be able to find lotus roots in any asian
stores)
. 1/2 cup of chopped green onion
. 1 tablespoon (or 2 tablespoons) of chili sauce (Lee Kum Kee, Chili Garlic
Sauce is my favorite)
. Add salt to your taste, just be aware that Chili sauce is salty too
. 2 tablespoons of cooking oil (I personally use olive oil for all my cooking)
. 3 tablespoons of Chinese red vinegar
Instruction:
. Chop lotus roots into small slices
. Heat the wok with high heat and pour cooking oil
. When the oil gets hot, put chopped lotus root in the wok
. Stir for 2 minutes, add 2 tablespoons of water, then stir for another 1 minute,
add another 2 tablespoons of water, stir for another minute then add 2 more
tablespoons of water
. Put salt, vinegar and chili sauce into the wok, stir for 1 minute
. Turn off the stove, put green onion and stir well
Ready to serve.
